Q. Are your treats Certified Organic?
A: Not yet. While all of our ingredients are human-grade 100% certified organic, we are still going through the lengthly process of obtaining USDA Organic Certification, which we hope to complete by the end of the year (2007).

Q: What is the shelf life of your treats?
A: Since organic treats do not use any artificial preservatives, shelf life is more of a concern than it is with mass-produced products that are stuffed with chemicals. However, Organic Doggy Kitchen has developed special recipes and cooking methods to prolong the shelf life of our treats. Our treats have been proven to stay fresh for at least four months if kept in a dry, cool environment. They don’t have to be refrigerated - room temperature is good enough for our cookies!

Q: Can dogs taste the difference between organic and non-organic foods?
A: Fresh organic fruits, vegetables and eggs often taste better than conventional ones. Dogs, with their remarkable sensitivity to smells, may be able to tell that our cookies do not contain preservatives or any other chemicals. Most dogs certainly seem to think that our treats are delicious!

Q: Since your treats are so healthy, can I give them to my dog in place of their regular meals?
A: No. Please keep in mind that even though our treats are healthy and delicious, they are meant to be snacks and not meal replacements. As with all doggy treats on the market, they do not contain all of the necessary nutrients that your dog needs on a daily basis. It is recommended that the amount of treats (of any type) that you feed to your pets does not exceed 10% of their regular diet.

Q: Where are you located?
A: Our Doggy Kitchen is located in Falls Church, VA (a Washington, D.C. suburb). We do not have a retail storefront in our facility; you can buy our treats online here or at many pet supply stores and boutiques near you.

Q: What are your return policies?
A: If the product is unopened and you are unhappy with it for any reason, you may ship your purchase back and we will issue you a full refund (not including shipping). If the product has been opened and you are unhappy with it, let us know and we will send a replacement.
